Through technology-driven solutions, Safi Africa Energy Limited focuses on removing barriers such as upfront LPG cylinder deposits and ensuring an uninterrupted cooking gas supply. Our BHLF loan is enabling Safi to acquire essential equipment for launching its pay-as-you-go LPG smart meter and delivery service. The smart meters enable real-time monitoring and mobile payments for LPG that will be delivered to households, including informal settlements.
BHLF’s investment will establish a 2000-household foundational customer base by removing upfront cost barriers that prevent low-income households from accessing clean cooking solutions.
